The good, the bad, the funny...

Word to the wise...never say things can only go up from here...trust me they can always go farther down. Last week when I locked my keys in my truck I said, "Well things can only go up!" No, it should be things could be worse! This morning I backed into our front door neighbor as he was also pulling onto the strett. :( That was not fun, I was shooken up all day.
Luckily today was a practicum day so I got to spend it with an amazing teacher and 1st graders! :)
This morning the teacher asked the students what they do in school on Saturdays, of course they answered that they don't go to school on Saturdays. She asked them what another day was that they don't go to school on. They said Sunday. This funny boy I was standing by said mostly to himself, "We go to church, to learn about Jesus." It was funny
The kids took math tests today, the teacher told them to cover their answers when they were finished. Some of them covered just the answer that was correct with their finger, leaving the rest to be seen.
Today I received my first teacher note it read:
Dear Mrs. Garret,
Thanks for all your hard teaching. You are the best! I hope you have a great time as a real teacher. I hope that you get to have fun.
Love,
D and R
Sometimes life is good, sometimes bad, but it is always funny

Some interesting things happened at church today. The first thing was hilarious, during the sacrament, a little boy sitting next to us pressed a button on his Lightning McQueen car and in the dead silence it said, "The Checkered Flag is Mine." The talks today were about weaknesses and how we all have them to over come them. The second speaker talked about how he doesn't have empathy for people and in my head I was like, "Where is this going?" Then I was touched, he was with the group of people who went to Nutty Putty Caves Thanksgiving week. He is good friends with the brother of the guy who died. He said that he had overcome his weekness because he was one of the people that stayed with and comforted the guy stuck in the cave.
During Primary we taught the kids about the Fall of Adam and Eve, I was surprised because they actually enjoyed reading in the scriptures this week. During sharing time Dan had a contact come out. All the kids looked at me questionably as he left to fix it, I told them his eye had fallen out. I love teaching Primary with Daniel.

New Year New Hobbies

I blame my attempt at blogging on a couple of things:

1. My 7:30 AM Technology Class

2. Daniel says that I need to engage myself in activities that 'sharpen the saw', I don't know if this counts, but if computer games count, then ya this counts.

3. Lack of scrapbooking supplies in my home, and the lack of money to print all my beautiful pictures.

4. My hating of writing in a journal, mostly because I hate going back and reading it.

In the future I will use this blog as an updater on my children, but for now it will mostly be about the crazy life Daniel and I live right now.

:)
